Full course description
To lead group discussions skillfully, novices must learn to probe student ideas, orient students to one another’s thinking, make strategic contributions that maintain a focus on the point, and maintain accurate public records. In this course, facilitators will provide a brief overview of the practice of leading a group discussion, and will then engage participants in experiencing and discussing practice-based examples of how to work on leading discussions with novice teachers.
