Full course description

Join Meghan Shaughnessy and Martha Curren-Preis for this workshop that will support deans, department chairs, and others in a position to support the design or redesign of an entire teacher preparation program to begin to develop or redevelop a teacher education program focused on practice. Participants will consider topics such as sequencing work on high-leverage practices and strategies for advancing justice across an entire program, creating a system of formative and summative performance assessments focused on high-leverage practices and strategies for advancing justice, and supporting individual course instructors to design practice-focused syllabi, with attention to content, teaching practice, and equity. We will also explore how to translate this thinking and work to virtual contexts.

Meets daily from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. EST on July 28 - 31, 2020
