Full course description
This mini-course dives into non-fiction reading and its usefulness in building content knowledge in ELA. Participants will explore how the volume of reading and text sets support vocabulary development and other skills, and how they are related to advancing justice. This mini-course also presents a set of novice teacher-facing lesson plans for participants to unpack and practice.

You may register for one or more mini-courses in the virtual mini-course series and must commit to attending all sessions in each mini-course for which you register. All instruction will be provided by TeachingWorks English language arts specialists. This mini-course may require that you borrow or purchase texts that are required reading.
