As mathematics teachers, we want students to take up and respond to the thinking of their peers. In this session, we will provide strategies for establishing a culture in which students are empowered and equipped to share their own thinking and respond to one another's ideas respectfully. We will also discuss strategies for creating this culture in online learning environments.
